Semi-Annual Health Update - Part 2

Yesterday, I wrote Part 1 of the Semi-Annual Health Update with an emphasis on 5 Foods that may seem healthy but aren’t.

From a personal perspective I have thus decided to remove these foods from my routine, daily diet, as they are not conducive to ones health.

It seems today though, that wherever you turn you hear “don’t eat this”, “avoid that” and so on and so forth. So to avoid sounding negative, today we are going to look at the positive side of things with 5 great foods that are beneficial to incorporate into one’s routine, daily diet.

Most of these foods are not common knowledge to the average person, nor are their health benefits. Some of these foods may be known to some of us as healthy, but for some reason we have a hard time making them part of our daily diet.

So here it is, my semi-annual update on 5 foods that I have made part of my daily diet for optimal health.

Review: Greens Plus Natural Mixed Berry Supplement

greens.JPGThere are so many health and diet supplements out there today, that it is no surprise that many of us are very confused on what to choose, if anything at all. One of these supplements is the famous Greens Plus line. Back in the fall when I thought it might be a good idea to supplement a little extra for the winter I purchased one of their products and here is the review on that product.

Greens Plus is from the Genuine Health Company (Canadian based) but was formulated by Sam Graci of the original Greens Plus (American based). They have a wide variety of products that:

a) have been around for a while

b) are generally speaking reputable and research based and

c) have widely available products throughout the world

I have read many great things about their products, and decided to purchase the Greens Plus powder in the natural mixed berry flavor. I figured it might be a good enhancement to my diet over the winter months.

Multivitamins: To take or not to take?

multivitamins.jpgYou only have to step inside of your local pharmacy or even grocery store to see the popularity of multivitamins.  In all these locations today you can see shelves upon shelves of various multicolored and different sized bottles from any manufacturer of vitamins who can squeeze into that store space.  But what is the deal really with all these vitamin and mineral products? Are we all to take them, both women and men, young and old? And if so, which ones and how much?
