Today we are going to venture into a very popular area that has detrimental effects on our health. Yes indeed, soft drinks - probably one of the most toxic beverages for one’s health and at the same time one that too many of us drink on a regular basis.
Hence in today’s article we are going to dissect soft drinks - consider it, the everything you ever wanted to know about soft drinks, but were afraid to ask article! And you should be afraid to ask, for reasons you will find out in this article.
However, we are not going to talk about every soft drink. In this article I will use specific examples of 7Up, Ginger Ale and Brisk Ice Tea, as a general sample of all soft drinks, except one. We are not going to touch Coca-Cola, as there is so much to say about it, that it requires a whole write-up of its own, which I will do in the near future.
If you are a soft drink consumer, my intention is that this article sheds some light for you on what exactly you are putting into your body.
If you are not a soft drink consumer, this article will definitely make you thankful you are not. Let us then begin our journey of getting to know soft drinks.
Last month I wrote an article outlining the basics of vitamin D in the article entitled “Get To Know Vitamin D“.
The vital importance of having adequate amounts of vitamin D for optimal health, has by now been proven by many doctors, scientists and studies. I do not think there is anyone out there who would argue that.
Having an adequate supply of vitamin D has been linked to healthy teeth, healthy bones, decrease in osteoporosis, healthy immune system, decrease in overall infections, prevention of breast cancer and prostate cancer as well as many other cancers.
Well the latest research is out and this super-hero-vitamin has now been linked to protecting us against autoimmune disease such as multiple sclerosis.
One of the most important aspects of optimal health is a balanced state of being between the body, mind and spirit. Generally speaking, when the body is healthy and the mind is at peace, the spirit is vibrant and full of life. So how does one achieve this?
Well, even though there is no one, right answer for everyone, there are several well-known techniques to achieve this harmonious balance.
Hence aside from healthy eating and healthy thinking, many people partake in various relaxation techniques such as meditating, walking, yoga or Pilates. These prevalent activities are usually very effective at promoting optimal health by connecting the body, mind and spirit and are often greatly enhanced by music.
Thus, it is with great joy that I introduce to you a rising new artist, Cedar Jones who is the composer of the group called Hush.
Hush has recently composed a relaxation album called Quiet Music for a Loud World. The album combines ambient soundscapes with gentle, soaring melodies.
