Welcome to October and welcome to Vegetarian Awareness Month!
Today, October 1st, kicks off this special month with it being World Vegetarian Day.
If you are a vegetarian then you’ve got lots to celebrate about! If you are not a vegetarian you can still take advantage of this month to learn more about the benefits of a vegetarian diet on one’s health, animal welfare and the global climate, and perhaps see if you could benefit from a vegetarian lifestyle yourself.
In today’s world there are many reasons to take this lifestyle change seriously. Heart disease and cancers are the two top diseases plaguing the average Westerner, with statistics nearing 1 in 2 people for both diseases. Climate change continues to be a serious threat for all of us, with many increasing natural disasters and each year, millions of animals are treated in conditions that are beyond inhumane.
As September comes to an end, we are wrapping up the first annual “September is Salba Month” here on Evolving Wellness.
For our wrap up, I thought what better thing to write about then to share with you some facts and answers to popular Salba questions.
You may have heard about Salba yourself and be wondering if it is the same as Chia. You may have a certain disease or condition and be wondering if Salba is right for you. Or you may even be a new mom and wonder if Salba is safe to take during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Well if you have any of these or other questions about Salba I will try to answer them for you in this article.
If you are looking for a sweeter treat than the Salba Organic Real Food Bars or Salba Krispy Rice Bars, but for one that still has the nutritional benefits of Salba, then the Salba Soft & Chewy Ancient Grains bars might just be the item for you.
This is another product from Source Salba, the company who introduced the now famous, medically tested and nutrient rich Salba seed (Salvia hispanica L).
If you cannot bake your own healthy granola treats with Salba, you can rely on Source Salba to bring you a chewy granola bar, that is convenient to take anywhere and kid’s would love for their lunches.
The Salba Soft & Chewy Bars come in the following two flavors: blueberry and cranberry.
