The end of December marks the end also of a year. And so as we bid farewell to the old year 2009, and usher in the new year 2010, it gives us a great opportunity to reflect a little on our lives. Think about what worked this year, what didn’t? What were some of your successes? What areas of your life would you like to improve?
Most importantly enjoy this time, but don’t forget to be kind to your body. While new year’s festivities can be fun, stay conscious of respecting your body at this time more so than ever. If you must celebrate with alcohol, be conscious and have a limit to celebrate not only responsibly, but also in as healthy of a manner as possible.
December was a busy month for many around the world who choose to celebrate Christmas and the holidays.
We started the month off with a very important topic for anyone who is thinking of going or has gone with the vegetarian or vegan lifestyles in, “How to Handle Vegan and Vegetarian Substitutions for Common Food Items.”
I also exposed it all by sharing with you my health assessment results from the Nutrilite Sports Nutrition Blogger Event.
In the middle of the month, we had a guest post from naturopath Dr. Olson introducing the second annual 30 Sugar Free Challenge.
I also shared with you some healthy and delicious holiday treat ideas and why it is so important to be conscious of your eating patterns year round, especially at the holidays in “Hungry for Health?“. This is the time where many people believe it is okay to just let go and in turn put their body through a stressful time.
We finished the month off with a special post from me where I shared with you “Evita’s Favorite “Natural” Things.” This was the 2009 edition and I hope to make this an annual post. As I find high quality products, I intend to share them with you, as the more people get health conscious, the more confusing it seems to get in what really is natural and good for us out there and what isn’t. Just as the products we put into our bodies, it is just as important to consider the products we put on or around our bodies.
In our reviews section we had 4 reviews join our site, finishing the series of some of the best products from the natural, personal product, Canadian company – Green Beaver. These included the Après Ski 100% Natural Winter Face Cream, Après Ski 100% Natural Winter Lotion, Après Ski 100% Natural Winter Lip Balm, and the Frosty Mint Natural Toothpaste.
This month 1 new recipe joined our site, the Buckwheat Shiitake Mushroom Vegetable Stir Fry.
At this time I also want to say a thank you to James Reno for sharing his story in our Evolving Wellness in Action Inspirational Story of the Month section.
I am still so excited to share with you an extraordinary book for your health, which I did not get a chance to do so in December and talk to you about the role of supplements in our lives.
With another new year upon us Evolving Wellness will continue to venture into many new areas of natural health to bring you the latest and most up to date information for your health and wellness. It is my pleasure to be a part of your health journey and I thank you at this time for making EvolvingWellness.com a part of your life.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy New Year!
Live Long! Live Healthy! Live Happy!

One Comment to “Month in Review: December ‘09”
I switched to a non flourinated toothpaste again because of one of your articles in 2009. Thanks for all of the research you have been sharing. Have a healthy new decade.
