Month in Review: September 2009

September 2009 CalendarSeptember is over and with it we said farewell to another summer season and welcome in the fall season. I would also like to say another special thank you to Julie Riddle, for sharing her uplifting and highly inspirational story with us this past month.

As the temperatures get colder, remember that our bodies need some time to readjust, as well as get themselves ready to optimize for the cold months. You may notice changes in your digestion, your skin, your weight and your moods amongst other things. It is thus important to dress, sleep and eat appropriately for this time, to help our bodies ease better into these colder seasons and avoid putting too much stress on them.

We started the month off with a guest post from Mary Ward helping us understand the significance of breakfast called, “6 Reasons You Ought to Be Eating Breakfast.” As well I wrote a second part in our “Health and Nutrition Myths” series.

In the middle of the month I shared with you my experience from the Toronto Vegetarian Food Fair, and as well we kicked off our first contest giveaway of CharcoCaps Homeopathic anti-gas formula.

Near the end of the month I featured for you some important things to consider when it comes to being vegetarian or vegan in “Benefits of Being Vegan Over Vegetarian” and we also dissected a popular cereal to learn more about how to read labels and also truly get to know the nutritional values we get from our food in “Multigrain Krispies – Dissecting Nutrition Facts and More.

We finished the month off with another part 2 to a series that was started earlier, called “Foods That Seem Healthy, But Aren’t.”

This month, one recipe joined our site, the “Pomegranate Walnut Salad with Zesty Tahini Dressing.”

We also had 2 reviews featured, the fantastic, funny and very beneficial book “Skinny Bastard“, as well as the review of the CharcoCaps homeopathic anti-gas formula.

As for what’s in store for October?

October is both World and National Vegetarian Month, with October 1st being “World Vegetarian Day“. So we will celebrate on Evolving Wellness with some more valuable articles of topics that would be of interest to those who are or are interested in being vegetarian.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As well, we will have another special guest featured in our “Evolving Wellness in Action” inspirational story section. I will give you a “raw” hint that the story will shed some light on how to improve your digestion.

Till then – Live Long! Live Healthy! Live Happy!
