It has been another exciting month on Evolving Wellness, with some new topics and health applications for your everyday life.
As always, I am delighted with your feedback and welcome any questions or suggestions.
We started the month off with a new series entitled “Foods That Seem Healthy, But Aren’t“. Some of our readers were already well aware of these culprits, while others were unpleasantly surprised.
In the middle of the month we celebrated the second annual “International Green Smoothie Day” – which falls each year on August 15.
At the end off the month we finished off with two important and highly applicable topics to our lives, and those were about the idea of sustainable living called “zero waste” and why eating according to the food guide, can cause more harm than good.
This month I shared with you several product reviews. We had the very excellent and all natural olive soap from Kiss My Face. We also had the, not worth your money, Lemon shampoo from Avalon Organics. And finally I shared with you my views about the critically moving documentary “Earthlings“.
We also had 2 new recipes join our site this month; the Sweet & Spicy Oriental Chili and the decadent Raw Key Lime Cheesecake.
I would like to take another opportunity to thank Dr. Daisy Sutherland for sharing her inspirational story with us in the Evolving Wellness in Action series. I am very excited also to share with you that we have another special guest with a very moving and highly inspirational story for the month of September.
As for September, since we had some very good feedback and lots of your questions, I will feature the second parts to several of the series started here on Evolving Wellness over the past few months. So bring on lots more questions as we prepare to learn more about food, nutrition and optimal health.
We will also be featuring the first Evolving Wellness contest giveaway, so stay tuned for more details to come!
September is also back to school time for many students around the world, and so we will also be focusing on some healthy meal ideas for home and school.
Till then - Live Healthy! Live Happy! Live Long!
