@ HANLIE - Thanks Hanlie! And yes I really cannot see it other way, the whole healthy eating and lifestyle to me is always going to be a journey, not a destination. So I welcome change and evolution and constantly improving on what I can, and of course learning new stuff.

Thank you again for all your constant kind words and support :)
I am very excited about writing that first book and you will be one of the first people I send a copy to!!!

@ BEN - Hi Ben and thank you as well for your insights and comment!

And yes I really resonate with goal setting, because I feel how can you know where you are going if you didn't define where you want to go. Sure we can all coast passively and see where life takes us, but that leaves us handing over our control to other places, people or things.

This way I know I am accountable to and for myself the entire way.

As for summer, I just got back from a nice long vacation and it was wonderful. Besides that I am still transitioning into my new self-employed/working at home routine :)

I second Hanlie's "Great update, Evita!" The one subtle thing I took away from this post is something that is hugely important, something that should be a central focus in every part of our lives: Setting realistic goals. You clearly set goals for your health and well-being, documented them and followed up on them. You may not have reached all of your goals, but you reached some, acknowledged the work you still have left to do and took satisfaction in the accomplishments and results you achieved. It is so important to make goals for yourself and follow-up with yourself to monitor your progress. My friend Rex just guest blogged for me about this very topic, as a matter of fact, and he found that it makes all the difference in the world when he sets deadlines for himself.

Hope you're enjoying your summer...busy I'm sure!

Wow! Great update, Evita! The most important thing I take away from here is the fact that we are constantly evolving, growing and changing and that we should be patient through every stage. I don't have to go from SAD to raw vegan overnight!

You are an amazing blessing to all of us and I would totally buy your books!
