I am glad and appriciate your work, letting people to know what is going on against the freedom of choice of natural substances for preventing variouse disease.

We will have to stand firm on this freedom of choice by standing together.
Modern medicine should have their choice of treating people with their chemicals, but we must also have our freedom to choose natural substance in order to prevent all sorts of diseases.

@ BEN – Hi Ben, I wholeheartedly agree, the more we talk about it and the more openly, the more awareness we can bring to this issue and the more people can get educated at least not to judge or label incorrectly or with misconceptions and at the same time to realize that there is a choice – conventional modern approach to health or the holistic natural approach.
At least get the word out there and let the people have the choice.

As for you writing about it on your own blog – absolutely! Again the more awareness is brought to the issue of natural health, the better in my opinion! Looking forward to reading the article :)

This is such an interesting aspect of the natural health industry, one that I think needs more discussion (open discussion, that is). I think one problem that our movement/industry has is how we are perceived by some…as “treehuggers” “hippies” “homeopathic nuts” …etc. We need to have common sense intelligent debates like these more often and in more place. Thanks for the great read, and I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind me writing a short response to your post on my own blog and linking to it so more people can learn a little bit about the hidden dangers of lack of action. I’ll wait to hear from you before posting.

@ AKEMI – Hello Akemi! This is some fantastic input that you have provided. And my quick response is “exactly!”

If we could all think about what would happen if everyone was healthy…. it would be a very different world. Many people who cannot handle change or see life in any other perspective than the one they hold, think this would be a disaster perhaps and put a lot of people out of work. But the way I see it is quite contrary. People who now “treat” people simply need to evolve into “preventing” people.

We constantly need proper education and information about our bodies and how to keep them healthy and there is I know a place for everyone to benefit, but we must be willing to embrace change first and look towards a new direction.

In terms of the book “Biology of Belief” – I love it! That is I have not read it (yet) but I was at a presentation by Wayne Dyer who explained the concepts in it, etc and I was in heaven – the theories sound like so much what I hold within when it comes to health and well being.

Everything comes from our mind first and manifests in what we see physically – that is something much deeper than most people choose to accept however.

I’ve thought about how serious and sincere healthcare industry people are in promoting true optimal health. After all, they make money from sick people. If everyone gets healthy, or becomes aware how to care for their health without their “professional” assistance, they lose their jobs. While I believe many people in the industry are good-hearted, there is an undeniable contradiction . . .

I recently read Dr Bruce Lipton’s The Biology Of Belief (did book review on my blog, too, if you are interested). He seems to have been ousted from the mainstream academia due to his unique view that belief can change our health conditions. Sigh.

@ HANLIE – Yes, very insightfully noted Hanlie. I really like how you worded that we have indeed become just a number to them in the economy.

And I agree all the way, every voice counts, because the more awareness that we spread regarding the power of natural health, the possibilities the exist in a life based on healthy choices, the high quality of life, living in disease-free states and having adequate access to natural remedies if needed, are so valuable to all of us.

This is an area from which everyone stands to benefit, even the “economy”, if the big guys played their cards right and adapted to changing times, instead of held onto outdated and often harmful practices.

This ties in so much with what I’ve been reading and thinking about lately… The Natural Health Movement comes from the people, and it is in opposition to what the Establishment wants. This is true in just about every area of life these days. To them we’ve become economic beings, not human beings and they are really irritated when we insist on behaving so “uneconomically” and irrationally. I think more and more people are becoming dissatisfied with this and noticing that the emperor is not wearing any clothes, and it’s up to people like Dr. Mercola, etc and even you and I to spread the word.
