The month of March is over, and along with it, we bid farewell to the National Sleep Awareness Week and Earth Hour. It was also the first month of the new Evolving Wellness look, which featured a more efficient navigation, new site features and a few other site additions, which hopefully serve you even better.
We have now entered the season of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and many of us are excited to get back outdoors and start enjoying some physical activities in the fresh air and sun!
This month, with the National Sleep Foundation hosting the annual Sleep Awareness Week, the focus for the month was to get to know and understand just how important sleep is to our physical, mental and emotional health. Thus I put together the 5 part Sleep Aware Series, to serve as a quick guide on this topic.
Part 1 – Why Do We Need To Sleep?
Part 2 – What Happens When We Sleep?
Part 3 – How Much Sleep Do We Need?
Part 4 – What Can Hurt or Help Our Sleep Quality?
Part 5 – Natural Sleeping Aids
At the start of the month I shared with you my experience after seeing the movie “Orgasmic Birth.”
In the middle of the month I shared with you the new shopper’s guide to pesticides that was released from the Environmental Working Group and can help you to know what produce should for sure be bought organic to avoid high concentrations of harmful chemicals.
This month 2 new product reviews joined our site: Arthur’s newest addition the Pomegranate Super Juice and a high quality transdermal magnesium product from Ancient Minerals.
We also had a new meal idea added to the recipe section, which was the “Nutty Lemon Garlic Cabbage Slaw”.
Finally, on behalf of me and Evolving Wellness, I would like to extend another warm thank you to Hanlie Blewett of FertileHealthy, for being our March “Evolving Wellness in Action” feature story, by sharing her amazing and inspiring story of health, wellness and fertility with us. You can continue to find Hanlie’s story under the “Personal” category, in the section “Your Stories“.
If you have a personal story of your own in the area of health and wellness, and are proud to share it to mark your accomplishments or inspire others, contact me here, to be our “Evolving Wellness in Action” feature story of the month.
As for what’s in store for April, with the start of spring, I know many of you are going to be starting some serious spring cleaning around the house and yard, hence in April there will be some focus articles on healthy, green and natural cleaning to help you on your way!
Also, April is alcohol, stress, autism and IBS awareness month in various organizations throughout North America, so look out for some articles this month on these topics as well.
Till then – Live Long! Live Healthy! Live Happy!
