I have always felt that birth was the most natural and orgasmic experience too, even if I have not given birth myself yet. It's an intuition that lies in the connection of mother nature to humanity. I have given birth in other ways, like am sure you and others have and I can feel this connection beneath our skins to be extremely delicate and natural. The very existence of who we choose to parent, is our vision of experience in being of what we are. The energy of birth is one of the highest, as we give way for a new path of energy to arrive, the chosen. We can take it in any way we see it. I have noticed that humans feel physical pain, in such an enlightening pass over. It is quite amazing, and inspiring to see this. The pain is not hurtful in any way, it is divine and the orgasmic vision meets halway inbetween the vortex of energy. Such purity resides in the birth of new meaning, to this world.

Hello Hanlie

A birthing clinic would still be a great experience. Anything but a hospital, unless of course there are complications. But I have no doubt that you will have a wonderful experience regardless - it will be exhilarating, especially that it is deeply desired.

You know all over North America this trend to go through a c-section has been going on for some time now too, I think it all started with the Hollywood folk that somehow inspired others to jump on that bandwagon. And I have to tell you as a woman I am shocked, as the last thing I would want is for someone to cut me open. A surgery is a surgery and that always carries serious risks, no matter how sweet some women may think it is compared to the natural way.

Apparently it interferes with energy meridians of the Chakras too. But I guess that is the least of their worries if they elect to go that route.

A natural homebirth has always been my dream, but I don't think it's allowed for antique first time mommies, like I would be.

But I'm definitely going to try for a birthing center... and as natural as can be. And hopefully it will be a very special experience.

Here in S.A. there's a new trend among women who have access to private healthcare (mostly through medical aid) - elective caesarians. Seems we've become too posh to push!

Hi EarthMother,

Thank you so much for the links, I am excited to check them out and I am sure they will serve as a great resource to some of our other readers.

That is great to hear that within the raw foodist community, there is awareness about this type of birth. After all if you are going to eat all natural, why not birth all natural too ;)

Thank you again and I highly recommend this movie. It is just so nice to see compared to how we are used to seeing birth portrayed. There may be a showing in your area, their web site has links to showing times and locations.

I had not heard about this documentary, but I'd be interested in seeing it. I'm familiar with Ecstatic Birthing from several folks in the raw foods community.

Here's some links to some wonderful blogs by women who've had a raw pregnancy/ecstatic birth experience:

Hi Akemi!

Thank you so much for your feedback. That is very true, whether it comes to life or death I guess.

Some people feel that modern day medical interventions are the way to go, but if we really peel away the layers, I do believe that a lot of it of course has to do with the fear of death. Many people still do not realize that death is not a punishment or some thing that has to be stopped - it is a natural process of life.

Same goes for child birth. It is a natural and beautiful process and I do not feel there is any need in complicating that.

Hi Evita,

I love your blog! I love how you combine your background and expertise in science with spirituality.
The birthing of a new baby is a highly spiritual experience both for the mother and the baby, and I think it is better to be experienced as naturally as possible. And so is the experience of death -- I don't like extending life for the sake of buying time before facing death.

Keep up the great work!
