In this review, I want to introduce you to one of the most outstanding and truly natural bars available today. These all natural fruit and nut bars are called Larabars.

These bars started out as an idea to Lara Merriken in 2001 and hit shelves by 2003. Today, Larabars are sold in many countries throughout the world.

I created Larabar because a healthy body, mind and spirit are derived from what you eat. A magical harmony of fruits, nuts and spices, Larabar harvests only the best natural ingredients.

Larabars are raw, unprocessed, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, vegan and kosher. Each bar contains no more than 6 ingredients and there are no sugars whatsoever added to any of them.

The bars are true to their philosophy as they are 100% whole food. The only improvement that could make them truly perfect would be being certified organic, which at this time they are not.

The flavors of these bars are amazing to say the least! I have had a chance to try now almost all of them. My favorite at this time is the Key Lime Pie, but I have not yet tried the Coconut Cream Pie, which I suspect will be very yummy. The cherry flavor I was very pleasantly surprised with because it does not taste artificial at all, instead like rich cherry jam. The apple and lemon ones were equally pleasant and delicious.

The only two that I was not too crazy about was the pistachio and the coca mole, that one actually tasted spicy, which wasn’t my thing for this type of a bar. Ultimately, it comes down to personal taste buds and preferences, but with an assortment of flavors like these, there is something for everyone, to say the least!

The bars have an excellent texture that is quite tender, chewy and not sticky in any uncomfortable way to the teeth.

Aside from the great taste and texture, the list of ingredients is equally impressive. This is a truly outstanding product for anyone looking for a nutritious, delicious and healthy snack. Two thumbs up all the way for Larabars!
