Month in Review: October ‘08

calendar-october2008As the month of October comes to an end, we also bid farewell to Vegetarian Awareness Month.

However, as you know here on Evolving Wellness, our passion and focus is optimal and healthy living and in many ways this involves the vegetarian lifestyle, hence from time to time throughout the rest of the year, you can rest assured that various vegetarian topics will continue to be covered.

We started the month off with “5 Common Myths About Vegetarians” and “Conflicting Health Advice About Soy“.

In the middle of the month, we examined “How We Treat the Animals We Eat” and “How Bottled Water is Not Worth the Price or Your Health“, which also ended up being one of our most popular articles.

We finished the month off by learning “How To Have a Healthy Halloween” and we dissected the popular drink Coca-Cola and learned the impacts of it on our health.

In our reviews section we added two new products: “Nestea Vitao: Acai Blueberry Red Tea” and the “You Are What You Eat – Healthy Lifestyle Conference DVD Set“.

This month, as always, a few new recipes joined our site, including the delicious “Portobello Mushroom and Zucchini Whole Wheat Pasta“.

As for what’s in store next month? Evolving Wellness along with the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) will be celebrating and promoting November as National Health Food Month. Hence, stay tuned to find out if all health food really is healthy and how to maximize the benefits of health food, while not falling for any marketing scams. We will also talk about some health food stores and find out more about the products they carry.

Till then – Live Long! Live Healthy! Live Happy!
