@ NOOR - Thank you for your input Noor and you offer some great advice.

I really like how you say "the least we can do is consult an expert..." For some it may be a medical doctor, for others a naturopath, and yet for others perhaps even e pharmacist. While they may not always be right, it is worth it anyway to get a second opinion.

I also invite people today too, to research their own info. The internet is packed full of it. Some good, some not so good, but if we do enough digging we are bound to find exactly what we are looking for.

Thank you for your input!

I agree with a lot of the things that is being said in this article especially about self-medicating. Some vitamin manufacturers touted to be able to "cure" or alleviate certain illnesses like high blood pressure and asthma and we the public having been sold on the idea quickly purchased them without consulting our doctors. The trend to self-medicating is unhealthy to say the least. It might even endanger the very illness we are trying to medicate. Doctors are not God and cannot predict our deaths but they have spent a good number of years to be an expert in their field. The least we can do is to consult an expert when it comes to something as important as our health.

You posted a great article about vitamins and supliments and the amount of them in this days. It is an big problem that affect the health of many people that take vitamins without consulting a doctor first. In the human body vitamines have an imprtant role in the metabolism and in the way our body enzymes work. Vitamins are part of the human enzymes, as cofactors of these enzymes. Taking vitamins without prescription you risk to destroy your metablism. S, in conclusion, I am for the selling vitamins in drogstors only with prescription.

I agree with a lot of what you have written. Although, I feel in this day in age people live such fast pced lives they don't always have time to eat proper nutrition. I realize this is a choice but it is why so many have these nutritional deficiancies. There is a wide variety of vitamins out there that do range from rock and dirt to the more absorbable plant based multi-vitamin. If you have to take a multi-vitamin supplement, it's definitely important to research which you'll get the most out of.
