Practical Applications and Information for Optimal Health and Living Naturally

Review: Organic Ville Orange Cranberry Vinaigrette

dsc05422.JPGAs a vegetarian, I naturally love salads of all sorts.  However, unless the salads have some fruit or tomatoes on them, I usually like to sprinkle them with some kind of dressing or vinaigrette.  Naturally typical salad dressings are out of the question due to their ingredients and health risks. So when I found the Organic Ville salad dressings at our local grocery store I was intrigued.

The flavor I chose was the Orange Cranberry but they have many various flavors that you can find here. Even though I find their ingredients impressive and the fact that they are officially certified organic and vegan, I did not find this flavor enjoyable. It was just too sour and bitter tasting for me. But again as all tastes are different, you may enjoy it.

However, having said that I am excited about trying some of their other flavors in the future.  Their ingredients are excellent, mind you they still include an oil - soybean.  Their nutritional information is also good. The only downfall is the higher than preferable sodium (salt) content.

So in conclusion no salad dressing or a natural, homemade one is still the best option, but if you are looking for a healthier alternative to the traditional salad dressings out there, Organic Ville is a great way to go!

This is a product I’d buy if I lived in Canada or the US. Unfortunately over here we have nothing that compares to that and I have to make my own dressings… I wonder if I can play around with some of those ingredients…?

This looks very good. I must try some of it. There is nothing quite like a fresh salad with a tasty salad dressing. Especially when all the ingredients are right out of the frig.
Especially when you are out to dinner and someone special is sitting right there with you and enjoying it in relaxed fashion.
I must ask someone out to dinner. Thanks for the great post.
